Eve Amy, I understand where youre coming from, and appreciate you reaching out. But you have to remember that as much as we’re friends, I can’t give you special treatment or deny you the more intensive deep dives that are expected of any employee after the length of time you've been here. Eve |

Eve Id be a little concerned if the most exciting part of working here to you was about being friends. The reality is that now I’m your boss, and you’re my employee. You chose to sacrifice certain elements of our friendship when you started here, in the pursuit of something more important. Even us talking candidly over text like this is special treatment I shouldnt really be affording you. I hope you understand. |

Eve This is not the tone you should be using when communicating with your supervisor. I would also ask that you consider whether your question is one you should be focused on, let alone sharing with me. |

You used to stay by my side all night to make sure I was okay. Now you dont even bother to reply to my texts half the time. |
||
The only reason youd remember my birthday is so you can find out whether or not Adam fucked me on it. For who knows shit why. |
||
And it’s not just me. You’re different. |

Eve You need to take a step back and consider how inappropriate it is to speak with this candor and offensive language to your direct supervisor. My entire world doesn’t revolve around one teenage girl. I oversee dozens of subordinates of which you are just one, and a minor one at that. If I were to worry about whether or not I’m best friends with everyone under my care then this entire department would cease to function. I see a potential future where we remain friendly, you continue to do your work to an acceptable standard, and you agree to participate in a process that will direct you towards enlightenment, no matter how invasive. |

| I also see other options, that arent as simple. | ||

Eve From now on it seems like the best course of action is to continue as strictly employer/employee, as you are clearly incapable of managing anything more. I am scheduling a deep dive for you tomorrow morning at 9am. Arrive on time with a detailed written log of each day from the 22nd of September through to the 3rd of October. Eve |
