I am writing to lodge a formal complaint about the state of the women’s shower facilities in the ground level dorms. As you are listed as the dorm liaison, I am bringing the following issues to your attention:

• We have been without hot water for three weeks, and there has been no communication as to when this will be fixed.

• Many shower heads are leaking or do not work at all.

• Many of the floor tiles are cracked and broken, which despite multiple injuries, has not been resolved.

• There is a sizable amount of mold lining the skirting boards of the room.

• There is severe water damage to the roof due to poor insulation.

• There is a vantage point in the outside hall allows one to see directly into the shower room. This is common knowledge among the men, to the point there are few women who shower unclothed. You need to install a modesty wall.

I am requesting on behalf of the women in the ground level dorms that these issues be resolved with immediacy.

If you do not attempt to resolve these issues, I will lodge a formal complaint against you to your immediate supervisor.

I suggest that if you are unhappy with the facilities provided to you, you either wash yourself in the bathroom stall sinks, stop showering, or shower with the men. It is not my concern whichever one you choose, though I would warn you not to choose insubordination.

I would argue insubordination is a poor choice of words.

You seem to be classifying my request for the repair of our shower facilities as a defiance of authority. I disagree.

For example, I would classify insubordination in the following ways:
• Lying in deep dive sessions about your activities.
• Deleting incriminating data from the organizations’ servers.
• Using illegal means to access authorized documents.
• Communicating with parties outside the organization.

Please re-consider my request, and I will re-consider making a formal complaint to your immediate supervisor.
